Oxfam

This website was created in January 2000 with relatively modest expectations. It was intended in part to publicise Oxfam GB’s own work and that of its partners and allies on land rights in Africa at a time of considerable activity in the area of policy and law making on land in many African countries. We felt that there was a need to present and disseminate arguments in favour of pro-poor land reform in a context in which the rich and powerful tend to control both power and information.
